-
yes. just let me know what you have planned and i will make you a tailormade offer just for you and your desires.
bookings
-
As early as possible. Once you have a date, contact your preferred photographer. Saturdays from May to October in particular book up quickly.
-
First you send a request to the photographer. The usual process is simple:
first we get to know each other in an (online) meeting and coordinate details
then you receive a service contract and a short questionnaire from me.
after the signed contract and paid deposit, your desired date is reserved for you
From then on we remain in contact for any relevant arrangements.
-
With professional wedding photographers there is always a minimum booking duration.
I am usually with you for at least 8 hours to capture your special moments. It depends on your preference at what moment i start documenting your day. The exact length is determined during our joint scheduling.
-
It’s best if you ask the weddingphotographer directly whether they would accompany your wedding at the desired location.
I myself love to travel and sometimes even offer a discount depending on the location, and if it’s on my bucketlist. In general, I’m always available to book worldwide.
-
i start your wedding documentary when you are getting ready. these are often especially emotional and beautiful moments.
usually i start with the groom and his best man and document the process of putting on the suit. this is often a good moment to take outstanding portraits, depending on the chosen location.
after that i move over to the bride and her process of getting her hair and make up done, as well as putting on the dress and accessories.
of course this is dependent on the individual scheduling and chosen locations.
locations
-
most Professional wedding photographers are willing to travel for weddings; some even specialize in destination weddings. I love to travel and am very excited to photograph your celebration across Germany, throughout Europe, and worldwide.
Tell me more about your plans. I listen carefully and look forward to capturing your story in images.
-
Often travel costs are calculated per kilometer, and depending on the distance, additional hotel expenses are added.
With me, all travel costs are already included as a flat fee in the package prices, so there are no hidden charges for accommodation or travel for you.
this might vary if you plan to celebrate your wedding in especially remote places.
-
Professional wedding photographers use quality equipment, their experience, and the available light.
I stay flexible, deliberately using window light, reflections, or subtle artificial lighting, creating atmospheric, natural images regardless of the location. Sometimes if the couple likes the editorial style i also go for some flash photography. without disturbing the general vibe obviously.
-
a professional wedding photographer plans your wedding day carefully and considers the specifics of your venue. this can be done either in person on site or through online research and by arriving early.
i naturally plan your photo concepts in advance and determine where each photo will be taken and also what light conditions might occur.
-
honestly i am always glad if there is a possibility of getting some proper food at a wedding for me. but this is not required of course. just let me know what your plan is and i can absolutely take care of myself.

-
some wedding photographers offer videography as well. this often is a compromise in quality to be honest.
even though i do work as a professional cinematographer in the commercial world, i don’t offer full videography services for weddings. but i do offer to record your wedding ceremony and speeches on two separate static cameras to get two different perspectives. of course with professional audio recording. this allows me to set up the video cameras and audio equipment beforehand, so i can fully focus on your most precious wedding photos.
for further video coverage i always recommend getting a separate videographer. of course i can help you find a fitting videographer if you want to.
-
many professional wedding photographers do offer drone footage these days. it is important to note that drone regulations differ from location to location and are not legally possible in some locations.
i myself do offer drone photos and drone videos for weddings, if it is not restricted in the area of your wedding location.
shootingstyle
-
There are many different styles among wedding photographers. from classic, simple photos to boho or more extravagant images.
I would describe my own style as modern, cinematic, and clearly inspired by the fashion world. What’s most important to me is always capturing the emotions of the moments authentically and aesthetically.
if you want a specific style of photography let me know. in the end these are your memories and your photos. i won’t adapt any style but am always open for input, just talk to me.
-
a documentary shooting style refers to capturing authentic and real moments without changing them.
i always choose to shoot a healthy mix between documentary and directed photos depending on the situation. for real emotions but also aesthetic memories.
-
A professional wedding photographer guides discreetly, builds trust, and creates a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
I also always make sure to take my time with you before your wedding to get to know you deeply and understand your wishes and personal story. and avoid situations you might feel uncomfortable with.
-
group photos are always precious to have and safe memories of your dearest friends and family members. especially since everyone is well dressed and you usually dont get the chance to get high quality pictures of your groups of friends.
i recommend to focus on a limited amount of groups. your closest friends and family.
-
about an hour. either in one sitting or split into several sessions throughout the day, depending on your individual schedule, the current season and the related lighting conditions.
a first look shoot is often especially emotional and worth doing, since your makeup and styling are fresh and your guests don’t have to wait for you. in general, I strongly recommend planning a time slot for your couple shoot outside of midday. when the sun is highest, natural light is at its least flattering. if it can’t be avoided, I can of course plan around it and shape the light so that beautiful photos still result. the light is generally nicest at sunrise or sunset.
often, a good opportunity for a photo slot arises while your guests are occupied with the meal.
also a couple shoot on a different day is always an option and allows us to take our time.
let’s have a chat and plan together to find what makes the most sense for you.
usage
-
Yes, of course, after all, these are your photos and you are always welcome to share them on social media. I appreciate it when you tag my work or mention me so others can find my photography, but that is optional of course.
-
For professional wedding photographers, it’s common to feature real weddings on their websites. I’m honored to show real wedding photos on my website or Instagram so other couples can find inspiration. If you’d prefer I don’t, just let me know in advance.
-
Yes, of course, these are your images and you are, of course, free to print them yourselves. You will receive the final images from me in high resolution and without watermarks. If you need help printing high-quality pictures or photo books, I can gladly assist with that.
-
The couple always receives comprehensive usage rights for private purposes: for sharing, printing and archiving the photos. However, not for commercial use. Copyright remains with me, your wedding photographer.
what if…
-
Rain doesn't change the feeling of your day, and often rain brings a special moody atmosphere for your photos. I always plan a concept for your photos and have some backup ideas suitable for bad weather and all sorts of situations. We'll make the best of it, with calmness, flexibility, and photos that are as special as your day.
-
A professional wedding photographer is well connected and provides backup.
If I were ever unable to work at short notice, which in my more than nine years of professional experience has never happened, I reliably arrange an equivalent replacement from my professional network. You will not be left without a photographer, and quality and style will remain consistent so you can still feel well looked after in such a case.
-
A professional (wedding) photographer always works with at least double data backup.
During the wedding I already record images simultaneously to two memory cards in the camera. Throughout the day and at the end of the shoot I back up all files multiple times to external hard drives and to the cloud, so your memories are reliably protected and accessible regardless of location.
-
Yes, a professional (wedding) photographer naturally has liability insurance, it protects both you and me in case an unexpected accident should occur.
-
A professional wedding photographer carries multiple sets of equipment and always pays close attention to the condition of their gear.
I work with two professional cameras simultaneously and keep backup equipment in the car. This way I can continue working seamlessly at any time, without interruption and without risking your images.
-
Analog photos are truly beautiful and convey a special authenticity and look. In the specific case of analog film photos there are always a few minor risks, since there are extra steps in between shooting and getting the final image. although they remain very unlikely with modern developing processes.
Aside from that i always shoot on multiple film cameras when shooting on film and I also never shoot exclusively on film and always use digital cameras in parallel to ensure to not risk losing photos of any important moments.
If you are interested in analog photos, I will gladly explain this to you in detail.
deliverables
-
it naturally depends on the schedule of your wedding how many photos will be taken. you’ll usually receive about 60–100 photos per attended hour.
-
A professional wedding photographer typically delivers a carefully curated selection, so you get a balanced selection of all your important pictures.
I sort out duplicates, blurry, or unflattering images and edit the selection so you receive a high-quality, cohesive gallery that authentically represents your day.
-
After the ceremony, the wedding photographer carefully reviews and edits all images. You will receive your photos within 3 to 8 weeks after the wedding date. If you are impatient i can of course give you a rough overview of all images within a few days. Of course you can always contact me after the wedding as well if you have some questions.
-
Professional wedding photographers deliver the images via an online gallery.
I provide all your photos as high-resolution JPGs. Additionally, I offer a second version of each photo optimized for social media. This private online gallery will be available for at least 90 days so you have more than enough time to download all the photos and share the gallery with your guests.
On request, I can also send the photos to you on an USB stick by mail or create a high-quality, curated photo book for you.
-
Professional wedding photographers, including myself, also offer the option for high-quality photo albums and framed prints.
I design your modern, premium album with sturdy pages made from high-end photo paper. Once you approve the design, it goes into production. This way you can enjoy your images not only digitally but also with a special tactile quality: timeless, personal, and long-lasting.
This also makes a wonderful gift for your family.
-
a professional wedding photographer always delivers consistently edited photos with the same look and feel.
the raw data is not part of the contract and stays with the photographer.
communication
-
Communication with a professional wedding photographer is personal, clear, and relaxed.
After your inquiry, we’ll discuss your ideas, the day’s schedule, and what matters most to you in an initial (online) meeting. Leading up to your wedding, we stay in regular contact via messages and calls to coordinate our plans. Also i will make a moodboad with you and a concept for your coupleshoot if you want to.
I am available to you the whole time for questions, doubts, or anything inbetween. I’m also happy to get in touch with your bridesmaids, groomsmen, and (if applicable) your wedding planner to get a complete overview of the timeline, since you often are not aware of planned surprises.
Shortly before the wedding we’ll go over all details again in a final call – so you’re perfectly prepared and can enjoy the day calmly. And I have a final, precise plan to ensure no important moments are missed.
-
Yes. multiple times.
Before you can book me, we’ll get to know each other in an initial video call, talk about your plans, and see if we’re a good fit.
After booking, we’ll meet in person if possible. There will also be regular calls or messages and a final meeting before your big day.
-
A professional wedding photographer dresses discreetly, neatly, and appropriately for the occasion.
unobtrusive yet stylish. I typically wear dark, elegant clothing that allows freedom of movement and blends harmoniously with the overall scene. dark clothing allows me to stay unobtrusive, so the focus remains entirely on you and your day.
-
i always make sure to get a complete and detailed time schedule from you and everyone involved in the planning of your wedding day beforehand. this ensures that i exactly know where to be at what time. also i stay in contact with the maids of honors and best men to get updates if needed, without stressing the bride and groom.
i also ask who is especially important to you. best friends, close family, you name it. this ensures i get good coverage of all of the most important people since i don’t know your often numerous guests.
-
it is completely natural that your guests are excited and maybe want to take some pictures with their phones. this often doesn’t particularly look great on the main photos though. even worse when someone stands right in front of the wedding photographer when you are entering or leaving the ceremony.
a good solution i found is to talk to your wedding speaker and tell him or her to shortly brief your guests before starting the ceremony. he should let them know where not to stand when the ceremony is over and tell them not to take private photos with their phones. signs or “best practices” on your wedding invitations also help.
of course i can give you some advice in a personal meeting how to avoid these scenarios. just reach out to me.
